Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Settlement Sidekick Android app ("the app", "we", "us") does with your information. We have tried to keep it plain and accurate.

1. Information the app collects

• Your name, ZIP code and email address
• Your payout choice (how you would like to be paid)
• Your answers for individual claims (for example, a mailing address or other details a claim form asks for)

The app does not collect government ID numbers or other sensitive identity details today, and our server rejects them if they are sent. The app does not collect bank account details, payment card numbers or passwords.

2. Storage on your phone

The information above is stored in the app's private storage on your phone. It is not encrypted in app storage. It is protected only by Android's normal app sandbox. Only the app's device token and, if we ever add them, sensitive details you choose to save are sealed with the Android Keystore.

3. What is sent to our server

• Saving your profile: once you have access to the service, the app uploads your name, ZIP code, email address and payout choice to our server. We keep one upload per user.
• Claim details: the details for a specific claim are sent to our server only when you OK that claim. We do not send the details of claims you have not OK'd.

Our server is hosted by Cloudflare.

4. How we use information

We use your information to provide the service: to find claims that may apply to you, to file claims you OK, and to show you their status. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as needed to provide the service. We do not automatically delete it after a claim is filed. You can delete your data at any time from your profile in the app by tapping "Delete my account." Data on your phone can be removed by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.

Delete my account (in the app's profile page) removes all stored data from our servers, with nothing kept. Claims already filed with an administrator can't be recalled.

Once a claim has been submitted, the settlement administrator receives that information and handles it under its own privacy practices. We can't delete data from their systems.

6. Service providers

Cloudflare hosts our server and this website.

Website analytics

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless service, to count aggregate visits: page views, referrers, country and device type. It does not set cookies, build personal profiles, or track you for advertising. The Android app does not use this analytics service.

7. Age

The app is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date.
